We chose this based on the dates due to school vacation. We also chose this cruise line because the one we used to cruise on seems to have gotten really greedy post covid, we saw a better value with this line. The ship; we liked the layout of the ship. With multiple pools, we really didn't have a hard time finding a place, even on sea days. The main pool where all the entertainment happens tends to be more crowded. We felt the entertainment was good. We really enjoyed the comedians and the fact that they had multiple shows each day, making it easy to attend a show. Make sure to get in line for any show a little early if you are set on that time or show! The stage shows and musicians we good, we felt that compared to the other line we cruised, the talent level was a little lower, but not bad by any means. Activities, the roller coaster was only open for a day before it broke down for the rest of the week. Other activities were good, our son (6) loved the ropes course, splash pad, mini golf. Staff was amazing theoughout the ship. I like the my time dining reservation system that Carnival uses compared to other lines. Check in on the app, but you can still hang out at a bar having a drink and not stand in line waiting. I also liked that on this ship, some of the "specialy" venues are included with your cruise. We liked being able to try those without the extra cost. The steakhouse (extra cost) was amazing, especially with the complimentry bottle of wine on the first night. We also enjoyed the Dr. Suess breakfast, yes, we all ate green eggs and ham! One thing we noticed was the minimal selection of food in the buffet at lunch and dinner. Very minimal selections, and the food quality was what you would expect at a buffet; not great, but edible and constitutes a meal.

Cabin Review

We had two adults and a 6 year old in an standard interior cabin (42**). We arent they type that spend a lot of time in our room, so it suited us perfectly. Low cost, plenty of room to store all of our stuff for a week long cruise. Only downside was the pullman bed hands over the side of the king bed so it was difficult to get out of bed on that side, easier to climb to the other side. Our stateroom attendant was absolutely amazing, took care of everything we needed, and we really never saw him. He worked in stealth mode!
