We chose the Rhine/Moselle cruise because we were traveling with 2 elders and knew a river cruise would be a good way to travel with them.
The ship was clean, the stateroom nice, the staff pleasant and helpful.
The food was nearly unaccepable. It was like a cheap cafeteria to me, often poorly cooked, cold, industrial meals. The vegetarian options were 90% pasta, over-cooked, bland pasta at that with little sauce or flavor, no vegetables, just blended, bland sauces every time. The dining room dinner service was very slow and the dining room was so loud we could not have a conversation most evenings. The bistro option had TINY portions, truly less than a bite for appetizers, 2 bites of salads and main course portions that were less than a typical appetizer. So, no good alternative to the dining room at all, except it was quiet enough to talk. I am not a foodie, but the food provided was that of a Denny's or Applebees, with nicer presentation and less flavor.
The cabin was spacious and comfortable for a boat with lots of storage.
Bogus stop, nothing to see, far from the city and horrible place to disembark from as the taxies were very expensive to get anywhere.
