My best friend of 55 years and I booked the Prima because we were excited about being on a brand new ship that left from NYC, especially since we love easy cruising. We were greatly disappointed!!
We embarked at 11:30 AM and began the search for seating in what became the perpetually crowded buffet!! We ended up in Indulge, which is a nice concept but which offers minimal choices in each section. We are not exotic eaters and had difficulty figuring out what was on the menu. (We are very well educated). The food on the ship, in general, left much to be desired. At one point we went to eat at the Hudson but were told we had to go to the Commodore. When we arrived on the other end of the ship, at the Commodore, we were given a vibrating alert and told it was a 20 minute wait. We waited 20 minutes and were sent back to the Hudson, because they were too crowded. Thank goodness I had a scooter, as I have myasthenia gravis which makes walking and breathing challenging at times.
Injuries - on the first full day, my friend was crowned the Bingo queen. Fun right?? On the way back up the stairs to her seat, she fell and severely injured her foot and knee. I pushed for an accident report and we ended up in medical. Security then took us back to where she fell to see why she fell. It turns out the theater turns into a disco at night and the stairs and seating are removed. There was a hole where my friend’s foot got caught causing her to fall on her knee. When they put the stairs back they left a gap. No one even checked on her. She was in pain and limping the entire cruise.
