This was an impromptu cruise for a few nights away.
We booked an inside cabin for three people for a good price we felt and were surprised two weeks before sailing to receive a balcony upgrade for free (very nice). As a result, we upgraded our onboard package to the promoted Premier Package (gratuities incl, free wifi up to four devices, two speciality dining evenings, drinks up to $20).
We have sailed with Princess for many years on and off among other cruise lines and seen the changes (cutbacks) over time and not only with Princess. These changes range from no chocolates on pillows anymore to the end of sail away parties on deck etc, etc.

We were upgraded to a standard balcony cabin, unsure of category. Cabin was good
