We did not want an ocean cruise, so for our retirement/anniversary gift to ourselves, we chose a river cruise.

Due to flight cancellations and delays, we missed the first 2 nights in Paris hotel and were the last couple to arrive.

If I have one criticism, it would be the lack of help from Viking in obtaining alternative flights for our situation, they want you to pay more for flight help, and more again for travel insurance. All wise things to have in hindsight, but when added to what was, for us anyway, a very expensive trip, we decided against either. Read more
