Trying to get to all the rivers. Had been in Amsterdam 25 years ago and wanted to get back. Have done upper and, then, lower Danube and last year, Paris to Normandy and back.

- The trip to Lucerne on the pre-cruise excursion was OUTSTANDING! Worth every penny.

- Walking tour of Amsterdam was a bust (some bad weather contributed and construction everywhere was impacting route) The guide was not very adaptable to the situation and appeared flustered. Couldn't believe the garbage everywhere (Monday after the weekend and garbage day is apparently Tuesday) She left us in the Square with some "hand-wave" directions about getting back to the hotel.
