Sail Date: Dec 2022

We were canceled twice - but finally set sail for the Christmas cruise in 2022. The ship is pretty - nice that it was brand new. Our room was fine - nothing special. We were so disappointed in the service. Our room attendant was actually top notch, and our personal concierge was fair. Seemed as though every little aspect of our cruise was a challenge for the staff, though. We never sat out in the pool area because the chairs were never open because people left their towels on the chairs and there were no attendants. There were drinks and plates everywhere. We sat at the pool house for 20 minutes, at a table, various times at lunch just waiting to see how long it would take for somebody to come and wait on us. It became a bet between my husband and I. The Evrima room was nice and we loved the variety. Also the Asian restaurant was delicious. SEA was great service but WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overpriced for the experience. We had some decent excursions - but for that price we expect smaller, Ritz only, excursions. We were thrown in with larger cruise ship excursions many times. We had to seek out our own towels as we left for excursions - all pretty bad and pretty uncomfortable.

Also, our room was on floor 5 - and for the first 5 days the sewage smell in the hallway was absolutely horrendous. Our shower was a leaking mess - despite firmly closing the shower door. And we discussed the ship with several employees, and they were all frustrated and complaining about Ritz, which was actually very unprofessional. There was absolutely nothing to do once you get back from your excursion except drink. There were no appetizers served anywhere during happy hour. That is absolutely outrageous for the price we paid. Some people apparently had been given a secret caviar menu - but most people knew nothing about the overpriced caviar. Fun to listen to some mediocre singers at happy hour - but certainly not worth our time most nights. There were bridge tours that nobody was told about except for a select few. Tea time on the sea days was nice - but doesn't really make up for the complete lack of service and lack of entertainment talent. Just a frustrating and uncomfortable experience.
