We chose Carnival for the fun atmosphere. It was our first cruise on Sunrise. We had previously sailed The Liberty with Carnival. Both ships are similar in layout but Sunrise seemed a bit smaller in size. We enjoyed The Red Frog Bar but was disappointed in the Piano bar. The Piano bar on the Liberty was much better. The evening shows were entertaining. The food in The dining room was identical to the Liberty so I was disappointed to have already had many of the choices offered. I like to try new food choices. Many of the other food choices were identical to liberty but were good. The staff was friendly but seemed stressed and over worked. The boat was very full and some of the patrons were rowdy and ignoring the cruising rules. Such as not jumping into the pool. It was very difficult to sleep because several rooms around us had people who just stood in the halls talking even at 3am. Our girl group had fun and our overall experience was good.
Cabin was comfortable and clean. Beds extremely comfortable.
Our group LOVED Cozumel. We visited Paradise Beach Club and had a fabulous time. I highly recommend renting a day bed. We felt so special and it was our central hub and where we had lunch and drinks. The pool was beautiful and the service was amazing. Drinks were strong and the food very good.
We rented a golf cart for 3 hours from HydroThunder. It was only 4 blocks from port and they were very friendly. Reserve ahead. The cart was very nice and we was able to see all of Key West in the limited time we had in port. Only complaint was the limited parking.
