Sail Date: Apr 2023

My husband and I traveled with 2 other couples (all 4 first time cruisers). I'm at gold status so I was able to get a deal when booking this sailing, and did the booking for the others. I purchased "Faster to the Fun" and had an extremely quick and easy process when getting on board, maybe an hour in total.

Once on board we dropped our stuff off at the room and went to the buffet for some lunch then explored the ship. If looking to sail on the Paradise keep in mind its a smaller older ship and does not have all the bells and whistles as the larger classes. So chances are if you like the Larger newer classes you wont like this ship. I personally like the older smaller classes, but there were some areas that I thought were a bit too small (buffet, serenity, and casino). Overall I was very pleased with the style, layout and over all appearance of the Paradise. Families, and anyone traveling with kids, there is only one pool which does fill up rather quickly.

We did eat in the main dining room (Destiny) every night, I did think some of the menu options were a little lack luster, especially on formal night but I blame that on the cruise line not the actual ship. Everything I ordered was very good, and came out hot. The only item I was disappointed in as the "key lime cheese cake in a baked apple" this dessert made absolutely no sense to me.

Cabin Review

My husband and I had an extended balcony on the back of deck 7. The view was amazing, I did feel the room was a bit narrow compared to what I am used to, but being on a smaller ship I can't say I was surprised. Our room was also located with easy access to all the main areas.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

Cozumel is one of our favorite ports so when I was able to get a deal on a cruise and saw this as one of the options it was a no brainer for us. We did not do any excursions this time we just walked around the port. The two other couples in our party did go on excursions they did the "Give Back Tour" which they really enjoyed, and the other couple did VIP dolphin swim (or something similar) and they absolutely LOVED it.
