We had not been to this region of France and enjoyed seeing the area. We learned more about wine in a few days than in a lifetime! As usual, we enjoyed meeting the other people cruising with us, and the food was great. It's so convenient to sleep in the same stateroom every night, and still have a variety of experiences. There were plenty of excursions and down time, if we wanted it. The plane connections were tight, but we made it! I wish there had been more opportunity for shopping for souvenirs, but that is a function of the reliance on the wine trade, I think. Bordeaux is a beautiful city, which I am glad to have explored. After the cruise we took a train to Sarlat-le-Canéda, a darling restored medieval town. This could be offered as an excursion .Many thanks, Viking, for taking such good care of us!
