The Viking River cruise was the very best. From everyone on the staff to the destinations, I loved it all. From the moment we arrived at the boat, everything was taken care of, and we felt right at home. I loved that everyone arrived at different times, so there was very little waiting around. Our room was not ready when we first got on the boat, so they sent us to the lounge to get food and drinks. After a while, we were told our room was ready, and we were escorted to our room by a crew member who pointed out all the features available to us in the room. Our bags were already there, and we were able to unpack. We were traveling with friends, and it was so lovely to be able to sit at any table we wanted during breakfast/lunch/dinner. There was no assigned seating, and we could move about and meet many wonderful people. Each stop, we had a complimentary excursion, and we often just walked off the boat and walked around at our pleasure.
