Doubtless, this is a comfortable and clean ship with excellent cabins ( apart from a hard mattress ) and has some very obliging crew, especially the butler and cleaner assigned to our suite.

Beyond that though: The number 1 complaint is the food, which is substandard at best. In 2 weeks we never once had a complete meal where we were satisfied. The meat was completely tasteless on every occasion, the fish was watery ( no pun intended ) and the vegetables were overcooked to the point of being soggy.

This and, without exaggeration, at every mealtime we had to return at least one dish because it was cold. Even the carvery at lunchtime, which was cold on every day. An example, on our last evening I ordered lamb chops, medium rare. They were served cold. Having been sent back they reappeared absolutely glowing hot, but now of course they were well done! Surely any competent chef would have known this to have been the expected outcome and would have prepared a fresh order. Example 2: A fish dish arrived totally overcooked, dry and inedible.
