We have been on many cruises, but this was our first time on Celebrity. We chose the ship because it was newer and upscale. We were in cabin 82** and found it very convenient and a great cabin with lots of room. We actaully loved the verandah and preferred it over a traditional balcony. We never closed off the doors and our cabin felt large and inviting. We enjoyed the ports of call, but Puerto Plata was our least favorite. It was mainly bars and restaurants unless you liked the free, overcrowded pool. Maybe it was because it was so hot that day, but it felt more like an upscale shopping area rather than a beach island.

The food was very good on Beyond, and we were especially delighted at lunch. There were SO MANY gluten free options and everything was clearly labeled. Dinner was hit or miss because we got tired of eating the same foods each evening, but still it was good overall. The entertainment was fabulous. We especially enjoyed singer Savannah Smith and the comedian Robbie Printz. The Silent Disco was held two nights and was so much fun. We never had a problem finding a lounge chair, and there were many covered seating areas. I don't think we would splurge and purchase the premium drink package again. I think the standard one would have been fine. They only offered two gluten free beers or seltzers. The one beer was gluten removed which my husband's doctor said was iffy with Celiac. The one seltzer was Topo Chico but they only offered the one flavor of strawberry guava. On top of that, you had to hunt it down each day. Different bars carried it at different times, and more than once we were told to look elsewhere. It was a little annoying actually.

The staff onboard Beyond was friendly and helpful (with the exception of 2 or 3, but that is always the case, isn't it?!!). Our room attendant, Olga, was precious, and Bradley on the Activities Staff was a gem for sure. Carlo at Cafe al Bacio was so kind and always smiling, and Diego was extremely helpful in securing a nice table for us one evening. We loved Celebrity Beyond and would book it again in a heartbeat. Lovely ship, lovely captain, lovely people, lovely food, lovely time!

Cabin Review

We loved Cabin 82**. It had a great view and was large and clean. We enjoyed the verandah so much!

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We did a river boat cruise on Carrie B. It was fun and informative. We didn't enjoy the bus tour so much.
