We are a couple in their mid-fifties and had abandon NCL for 7 years after a series of decline of experience with them. We chose to come back because of a need for departure from NY. The itinerary was 10 days Bermudas, Bahamas and Port Canaveral. We couldn't go to GSC because of very strong winds. That is ok because safety is the priority ans I totally respect that.
The good part: food had greatly improved since our last cruise with NCL in 2016. Service was great at the bars, dining room and restaurants and staff quite fun. The ship is beautiful and clean and our balcony stateroom was just perfect with lots of storage capacity.
The not so good part: our platinum status was ignored all the time and everywhere. We always had to ask again and again and were ignored or declined. Staff were often not aware of perks or privilege and under informed. The ship while quite large is not made for 4500 + passengers so the public areas were over crowded at all times. We had the exact same problem with Breakaway and Epic. In bad weather with everyone inside is was hell in there. What to say about the pools... well the spaces are small, crowded and not as inviting as their smaller ships (Gem class). Spice H2o is very nice but again overcrowded with the usual reserved chairs at 6 am with no one attending all day long.
Beautiful, plenty of storage space and very comfortable
