We sailed with Princess for 4 out 5 trips, starting in Auckland.
During the trip Princess changed their benefits. One of the most significant benefits is Princess Cruise lines has stopped providing free exercise classes as stretch and abs. If you want classes you either have to pay for them or you can do what we did run our own stretch classes. There are 3 trainers on board. I saw more people in our self run stretch classes then all of the classes run by the trainers. Not sure why there are trainers onboard. They don't provide guidance nor do they provide the classes I have seen on over 100 cruises I have been on. I will hope Princess changes their policies and realize how we liked the classes. The main reason for the 4 rating, which would be 5, if it wasn't for dropping the classes, is the excellent service we received from the dining room staff.
We also found out that Princess treats Americans differently. If it wasn't for dropping the classes, is the excellent service we received from the dining room staff. One more item to note, if you are American and cruise in Australia or New Zealand, be aware that Australians and New Zealanders do not tip. The tip is added to Americans. That would be fine if we paid less for the cabin, we actually paid more. We even had to pay an additional surcharge for using our credit card.
Excellent cabin steward. Booked a larger cabin because we were on the ship for 56 days.
