Cabin: Veranda

I've sailed Celebrity before, and chose this one because it fit my schedule. The Solstice is an older ship, but she has been impeccably maintained -spotlessly clean and looking good. The service couldn't have been better. The staff is clearly very happy aboard and it shows with the cheerful, smiling faces at every level of every department. The food was outstanding with several stand-out dishes in the main restaurant. I had a fantastic dinner in the Tuscan Grille, and would have gone back if any times had been available.

It is true that the cabins are a bit dated -especially with the electronics - but they were totally comfortable, and my veranda was larger than I expected. Plenty of storage space throughout, including the bathroom. I really appreciated that the shower was enclosed with sliding doors, rather than a curtain. My cabin was on deck 8, port side/forward, and was very quiet.

I would happily sail the Solstice again, and it will likely only get better with its upcoming refit.
