This was our first trip on an MSC ship so wanted to try it out. Our recent trip on MSC Maraviglia sailing 7 days 03-19-2023 through 03-26-2023 was the worst cruise we have ever been on. The ship itself was beautiful, however, the service was AWFUL. The buffet kept running out of plates, silverware, coffee cups, and coffee. The drink fountains only had two out of four serving drinks which also kept running out of. Every day we stood there for 10 to 15 minutes waiting. The dining room service was no better. We had to eat dinner with our salad forks as we never got a dinner fork or a butter knife. When requested we got an attitude. Asked for lemon, never got any. The stress everyday either in the buffet or the dining room was not very pleasurable. The food was bland, which was surprising since I thought it would be based on Italian cuisine. There was NO self serve ice cream but a served by only one employee station by the pool that was only open a few hours of the day with 20 to 25 people standing in line in the sun. There private island didn't have enough chairs to sit on. The beach was full of red ants and lots of rocks to trip over.

The tender process in Belize was the worst. We stood in line for 40 mins in the hot sun to get back on a tender back to the boat. They should have had more running with almost 5,000 people on board. Then back at the ship it took 30 mins to get off the tender because they only had ONE scanner working to allow passengers back on the ship which took forever. The ship had NO comment cards available to leave a note, good or bad about your cruise. They said we would receive an email with a survey but two weeks later still nothing. We had an inside cabin but had no soap by the sink, only a dispenser in the shower. Also there are no tissues as the dispenser has been sealed up. How cheap can this ship get. You could not ask for any additional pool towels as they would only exchange the one you got in your cabin when wet. Unfortunately it really gave us a bad taste for MSC There was only ONE staff member that even smiled all the time and helped us choose our photos with a pleasant attitude and answered all of our questions. This was our first time trying MSC and found it to be lacking in every way. I may be the only one writing, but everyone we spoke to said that it also was the worst cruise they had ever been on. Sadly MSC did not make a good impression on us.
