This experience was the worse and was the opposite of a vacation. It started with how NCL booked our flights at 5AM from the west coast and split us from our adult kids. One of them is disabled and we asked NCL if we could switch one parent onto the flight and move our other child. That was a no. Thankfully the airline was fantastic and provided an escort service.

We thought it would be better when we got to the airport shuttle. After a dispute about putting all 4 of us on the same shuttle (they wanted the kids on a different one even tho we got in at the same time) we were on our way to the boat. A porter at the harbor got into a fight with our driver which turns out was the first of three fights we experienced while on this cruise. The shuttle driver was screaming that the porter was going to take his job so we ended up keeping our luggage so we could move away from the fight.

On board we were hopeful things would be better. We'd booked 2 balcony staterooms. The rooms were far apart because of the difficulty we'd had with transferring Cruise Credits for the other booking but they were at least on the same deck. It was a very small balcony room and clearly needed some updates/repairs. Turns out the toilet in our room was difficult to flush and our tv didn't work. And the streaming internet we'd paid for was only a step better than dial up.
