Sailing with Avalon definitely was the perfect experience. Making new friends during cocktail hour and dining with them provided us with the ultimate opportunity to learn from friends in other countries. This cruise provided an extra night in Amsterdam and allowed us to visit both Keukenhof Gardens and the Anne Frank House (pre-plan 6 weeks prior as tickets are limited.)

We upgraded our cabin to be close to the Club lounge on the top deck. This made morning coffee very delightful and easy to get while yet in our robes!

Although we were unable to visit Mt Pilatus due to weather, we still enjoyed a walk around Lake Lucerne and took a lot of gorgeous photos of the Alps. The substituted museum gave us the opportunity to learn about the building of the Rail tunnel through Gothard Pass which made our train travel to Como all the more interesting.

Panorama Suite with French Balcony

Affordable and plenty of space for 2 guests without feeling claustrophobic. Bathroom is clean and well-set with bath amenities.
