Sail Date: Apr 2023

Our last cruise with royal was in 2016 and was the reason we chose to sail with them again. It was a nightmare experience. The shower was broken and we reported it to guest services. They told us maintenance would be by to fix it. Day 2 maintenance had not been by so we went back to guest services. This repeated until day 5 of our 7 day cruise! 5 days without a working shower, no apology or attempt to rectify the situation.

Food on the ship is only okay, it's pre-made and sits until ordered. You can't order your food to suit your tastes, everything is served well done. The meat dishes featured tough as leather cuts and the desserts were just okay. I will say, the second star I gave was for the dining room staff! If not for them, I'd give a 1 star. Service was amazing even if they couldn't improve on the food. We tried wonderland, a specialty restaurant as well and it was a small improvement on quality.

Cabin Review

The cabin was clean and well appointed. Beds were extremely firm but manageable. Biggest cabin issue was our broken shower.
