Sail Date: Jun 2022

I contracted COVID in June 2022 on the Koningsdam incurring $4000 of expenses that Holland America promised to reimburse in writing and they did not fulfill their commitment. It's been months of aggravation. Every customer service phone call involved 1-3 hours on hold. Every call resulted in requests for me to "be patient", etc. and I never got reimbursed. Before you commit to a cruise on Holland America know that you will get no support if things should go awry.

The room and the ship were fine. Entertainment was below average even thought they seem to claim their music as a selling point. The BB King lounge band was great but every other aspect of entertainment was substandard. Musicianship was poor. Dancing was ok. The dualing piano folks were used as the main act for the main theater show. They were great fun as dueling pianos but not main stage quality. Food was good. Ultimately, I could never patronize or speak positively of this cruise line because of their lack of integrity. Very disappointing.
