The cruise was conducted excellently throughout and we were able to reach and land on all of the planned destinations. Nothing was too much trouble for the very efficient and friendly staff with great attention to detail. They were obviously well trained as some of them recognised me from five years ago on a different cruise line.

A very experienced expedition team and a very good guest lecturer. The supplied parka and boots were entirely suitable. They adhered rigorously to Antarctic Tourism guidelines possibly being a little over-conscientious. A minor point is that they did not operate an open bridge policy which is usual for this type of expedition cruising.

I booked through Polar Routes in Kingston which I can also recommend but the pre-cruise and booking information from Swan Hellenic's head office does need improving.

Cabin Review

Very good. Needed to leave the balcony door ajar to balance the ship's dehydrating air conditioning and get some fresh air.
