We had a very enjoyable cruise onboard the Celebrity Solstice for 7 days. The ship is elegant – lots of glamour with plush seating areas, intimate dining options and well-appointed bars, shops, and other venues, such as the theater, fitness centre, spa and the solarium.

The 2 main things that stand out for us on this cruise were the food and the staff and service they provided.

The food, both the quality and the variety were excellent. This includes the Oceanview Café and the Main Dining Room (we did not eat at any of the specialty dining restaurants). The staff in the MDR were happy to make recommendations and worked in very efficient teams (Thank you to Queenie and Miyawa. We also enjoyed having sommeliers on board, which is something some other cruise lines lack. The variety of the ethnic cuisine in the Oceanview café is also worth mentioning. We also found that the food stations in a circular area was beneficial and not congested.
