I’d never been on a river cruise before so I didn’t know what to expect. Small ship no casino, not what I was used to. Well, first of all Viking is ADULTS ONLY! No kids! Huge plus. The ship is an intimate setting, you get to know most of the other passengers and most of the crew and they get to know you. The ship is spectacular and the food is out of this world. The staterooms are small but trust me, you spend very little time in your stateroom. The ports are great and the guides are very knowledgeable. Everything is first class. The crew of the Kara feels like family in no time.

I will be traveling on Viking again and again. If their other cruises are anywhere close to this one they will be phenomenal. I imagine they are. If you’ve been on a cruise try this one, you’ll never go back.

Cabin Review

The staterooms are small but very comfortable. The bathroom is also small but the water is very plentiful and hot. The floor is heated, the soaps are wonderful and the towels are puffy. Plenty of storage in the room for everything you might bring with you. There’s even a safe if you need one.
