We chose this cruise for relaxation as it had a limited number of ports. We were interested in a visiting Madeira and Spain as we had not traveled there before. Unfortunately, due to generator issues our stop to Madeira was cancelled. We would book another repositing cruise in the future.

The service, cleanliness, and friendliness of the crew on the ship was exceptional. All employees tried to ensure the passenger's needs were met. There were many activities to choose from every day. A guest could do as much or as little as they choose.

The embarkation process was efficient and completed in a timely manner. We signed up for the extension in Barcelona. We do not feel this was worth the money. The city tour guide's accent was extremely heavy and very hard to understand. It was difficult to see the points of interest out of the bus windows. We scheduled a private tour the second day (not with Viking) and this tour allowed us to see and appreciate Barcelona.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

Initially we had trouble with our cabin. Door access would not work with electronic key. Initially thought it was the key as they replaced it several times finally determined it was the battery and it was replaced. The stool would not flush, it took several attempts with vacuum system to get it working. All issues were handled promptly and efficiently. After these issues all went smoothly. Note the space between the end of the bed and the wall is extremely narrow and will not allow a roller bag to pass through.
