Let me preface this. We enjoyed the cruise and had a lot fun. Keep in mind all the prices I quote here are criminally jacked up spring break prices. Sometimes I wish my kids were home schooled just to be able to take off peak vacations sigh. And all of the cruise staff was beyond wonderful and hard working and great and should be paid the lion share of the profits (tho they probably aren't). Keep in mind they work 6-7 days a week 6 months on with 2 months off. Most of us can't even imagine that. So keep that in mind when you want to complain or not want to tip. Most any problem on the ship is not their fault.

I have been on 5 or 6 cruises with Carnival only. With either my wife or wife and kids (boy 16, girl 14, girl 11). As a family we usually go on spring break. This was our 1st post covid cruise as a family. Cruises aren't for everyone but I prefer it b/c I can spread the high 5 person cost over a year-ish so it isn't so brutal on the bank account.

Uber to and from Airport for 5 - $300

Cabin Review

Interior

10 deck forward interior. This is great spot. near food, pools, theater, fitness center. No issues. If you get interior you know it is bare bones and just for sleeping. It is nice having a bigger TV with almost on demand options. Strangely no sports channel options.

Port Reviews

Cabo San Lucas

Beautiful. We did the camel ride excursion. A lot of fun. Great food and drinks too. The beer/tequila is flowing :-) Def try the real mexican coffee. so good. Saw some whales and seals too.

Mazatlan

Fun. we did pool and beach resort. Service was prompt and drinks were flowing. Kinda weak drinks but expected. Beer good too. I say skip the buffet and order off the menu. More options and good food. We liked the pools better than the beach. Lots of vendors on the beach.

Puerto Vallarta

We did the crazy zip line adventure. I won't say too much b/c you need to experience it to understand. My main tip is to wear close toed shoes that can get wet. I think Teva type sandals are inadequate. So take an extra pair shoes that aren't your best and may not dry out until end of cruise. I say no to water shoes. Their is a lot of walking, and walking in rocky water. But totally do-able by most anyone not disabled. I might not go if you have back or mobility limitations issues. It is pretty exhilarating and def an adventure. The food after is pretty good too. The photos are expensive but prob worth it. If you want a margarita pay the cashier in photo hut to get a ticket to take to bar. We missed out b/c didn't figure out until to late. Bummer. Also you can take clothes to change out of after. They have changing rooms and store all your stuff until you get back. It is really well organized and trustworthy.
