We chose this cruise because we had never been to Athens, Croatia and Montenegro. These locations did not disappoint. We had been to Venice previously so we took advantage of spending time in Chioggia which was delightful. Enough cannot be said about the care we received from Viking every step of the way. They were there at the Venice airport to meet us as promised, guided us to a bus, then onto a water taxi for our pre-extension hotel. The Viking information desk helped plan our days in Venice and answer any questions we had. We enjoyed that every transfer was more like a narrated excursion than just a boat or bus ride.

Once on the ship everything we could want was provided, our room steward was so friendly and worked to make sure we were more than comfortable. The variety of food available was outstanding. We decided to stay "in town" after one of the excursions and caught a shuttle back to the ship, but too late for lunch in most of the restaurants so we ordered room service and it was delivered quickly. We also used room service on the mornings when our assemble times for the excursions were early. We highly recommend Viking, it is well worth the cost, we didn't pay for anything while on the ship and the service was impeccable.

Cabin Review

The space is small but adequate. Spent a lot of time enjoying the veranda.

Port Reviews

Athens (Piraeus)

Unfortunately, we arrived in Athens on a national holiday so many of the shops and venues were closed. However, Viking had a private tour ready for us that took us to the Acropolis which was important for us to be able to visit.
