We chose the "In Search of Northern Lights" cruise because seeing northern lights was a top "bucket list" experience we wanted to have. We chose the particular date because it was the only cruise that had an ADA-compliant accessible stateroom still available when we booked almost a year ahead. As it turned out, this cruise had the best weather conditions for seeing the lights of any cruises by the Viking Venus this season. We saw the lights on five nights, and thanks to the tips provided by a guest lecturer master photographer on the cruise, everyone got great pictures of the lights! An amazing experience!

Our experiences with each of the restaurants on board were great. All of the staff were friendly and professional, and provided outstanding service. So nice to be recognized and greeted by name. The housekeeping staff were great. We were amazed how quiet the stateroom was -- hardly ever heard noise from other rooms or the hallway, and we were right next to the lifts. Entertainment was great, and guest lectures were quite interesting and informative.

All of our excursions were great. I have an interest in military history, and there were excursions in three ports focused on these issues. Other passengers had great things to say about their excursions. Also have to compliment how well organized the whole embarkation, debarkation, and excursion processes worked.
