We had a wonderful trip through the Baltics this past June/July.

We flew from Toronto aboard Air India which was uneventful. At the airport (LHR) we were promptly met by our transfer service, "Smiths for Airports" which was terrific and we had plenty of room for passengers and luggage. We were dropped off at Premier Inn Harwich which was great value for money. The hotel room was comfortable but has no A/C which would be a problem if it were any warmer. This hotel is a long walk from town and there is not a lot to do here, but it served our needs just fine. There is a nice restaurant on site and the meal deal was perfect for us. Taxi to the port the next morning was quick and cheap.

This was our first time on Jewel and we got a great deal on a JS. Turned out the suite was not all it was cracked up to be- we did experience the "brown tap water phenomenon" numerous times, which meant we spent a lot on bottled water over the 12 days! The room was very spacious with plenty of storage space and a great view out the balcony. I do question the location of the suites onboard- below the Windjammer we could hear chairs and carts being moved especially in the mornings.

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

We experienced a lot of noise in this cabin at all hours of the day. Windjammer was directly above us and you would hear chairs being dragged across the floor and carts rolling above. You could hear the people in the cabin next door often. Tap water was brown on several occasions.
