I had never taken a "repositioning cruise" before. I chose it based on the fact that it was 14 days and rather inexpensive, and because it only had two port stops. My travel partner and I both love life on board ship and the port stops are not particularly something we need. This cruise was jam packed with so many things to do on board with lectures, and dance lessons, Trivia, games, shows etc., that one did not miss port stops or having to rise early in the morning to attend the stops. We were not disappointed with the weather as it was clear sailing with no "weather" to contend with from Florida to Barcelona - 14 days at sea. Even our Captain said it was a first for such a smooth crossing. The crew is outstanding and attends to your every need. The food is gourmet if that be your choice, or plain if you have plain palate, with 4 different restaurant choices as well as smaller snack choices. All included! There are bars galore all over the ship. The entertainment is top notch professionally presented in an elegant setting. I would not cruise with any other cruise company. I had sailed on the huge ships, which are simply floating shopping malls. Viking has no such nonsense. They have on elegant jewelry shop and a small clothing shop where you can buy essentials. There is music being played somewhere on the ship at all times ranging from a guitar soloists, the chamber duet and a solo pianist. Evening shows are a wonderful variety of trained professional performers. There are no secret fees charged. The spa offers a huge menu of exhilarating things at an extra charge, but the fitness center is open all day as are the pools. This is an elegant ship with a crew that pampers you 24/7. Even room service is included it you wish it. For a very nominal fee you can purchase a Silver Spirits Package for unlimited alcoholic beverages of your choosing with top shelf choices. Beer, wine are included with dinner all the time. Unlimited soft drinks are included.

Cabin Review

The stateroom was spacious enough for two with a lovely sitting area with two comfortable chairs, and desk and makeup section in it with a lighted mirror. Plenty of closet space with many hangers, and drawers and cubbies. Bathroom shower is lovely, and bathroom has plenty of storage for all of your cosmetic needs. Housekeeping is impeccable, done several times a day.
