Friends asked us to join them. This was supposed to be a cruise from San Francisco to the inland rivers of California and then back. It was hugely expensive (over 6K per person.) A week or so before the cruise, they informed us the cruise would not be leaving from San Francisco (no definitive reason given) but would start and end on the river in Sacramento, CA. We endured an uncomfortable 2+ hour bus ride from SF to Sacramento. There was no compensation made for this itinerary change, nor was a refund offered. Classic bait and switch.

The cruise itself was nice enough, but staff did not communicate with guests, and scheduled times for tours, activites, etc. kept changing. We decided we had to fend for ourselves and try to guess which of the announced times or locations would be the right ones. The staff seemed like a bunch of kids playing "cruise line."

The horrible bus trip back to San Francisco after the cruise was a nightmare. They announced the bus would leave at 6 am. The time came and went with no announcement, so we did our DYI thing and went to ask them what was up. It turns out the bus did not leave until 8 am, but they felt no need to tell us that or why the change. If you wanted to know just about anything on this cruise, you had to run down a staff member and ask and hope the information they gave you was accurate.

Cabin Review

Cabin was nice, but it wasn't restocked after the last cruise. Lots of missing items, including a life vest.
