My husband and I went with seasoned cruisers since this was our first time. The ship itself was beautiful and most of the staff were welcoming and pleasant. However, the room stayed rather warm. This rocked and swayed really bad the first couple of days. . Glad I wore my ear patch. I asked twice for an extra pillow and did not get one, I had to get my ship card changed because it wouldn’t open my door. The Guest Service person could have been a little more pleasant. He was kinda laughing because I couldn’t understand him. Bartenders at the bar by the Casino were wonderful, but if ordering by the outside deck area the wait was 45min. The first days menu was excellent, but by the next day the food began to taste like left overs. It took a long time to get sandwiches and pizza no matter when you wanted it. The Captains dinner I felt like could have been better. The food was cold and not good. We thought the Captain would walk around to meet us but did not.The coffee shop was never consistent with coffee orders. The comedy show could have been longer. Our comedians we’re that good! There were children running around after curfew so there was no quite time then , or in our cabin as kids were running up and down the hall. They were playing with the elevators holding up floors. I felt there should have been more shops on the ship for souvenirs. It was very unorganized getting off the ship. We were told we could port at 7:30 and it was almost 9am when we got off the ship. Will not be using the Elation for future cruises. Too much down time.

Cabin Review

Cabin was cleaned daily however, I thought we would clean sheets each night. We did not. Asked for an extra pillow, but did not get. Our steward was very nice and knew each of our names, but I feel like he had way too many rooms to clean.

Port Reviews

Nassau

I had high expectations for this stop. I thought it was going to be pretty and nice like Freeport, but it was not. You had walk a great distance to get to the shops and beach. The island people harass you to buy their products instead of let you look. Nassau Beach was horrible. The sand was full of coral rocks and islanders were trying to sell you drugs.
