We are a couple in our 50’s. We have cruised on 6 separate occasions with this being our first on celebrity- it will be our last.

The ship is huge and was at full capacity. We had a balcony cabin which was ok nothing special, a little worn in places. Getting in was very easy and straightforward. The sun decks were rammed and every bed was on top of the person next to you, you had no room to move. We couldn’t get near the pools as they were full every day. We were unable to book in any of the speciality restaurants as they were all fully booked. The buffet although impressive was so busy, long queues and waits for food. The opus dining room was also busy we had to have a bleeper tell us when it was time to eat, the wait was about 45 mins. The food was odd strange choices, often Luke warm and tasteless. We were regularly having to ask for a drink, a menu, some bread etc- it was too busy and the staff were falling over their feet trying to sort people out. This was the worst food we’ve had on any of the cruises we’ve done.

Entertainment wasn’t good either, a dreadful American comedian who showed 3x in the 7 days we were there, he was very much geared for an American audience. Again it was the worst entertainment we’ve experienced. The captain was great, he totally got involved and was regularly seen walking through the ship and chatting with guests. We chatted with other people on board and we all had the same opinion that the ship was lacking in certain areas. Entertainment was poor, we couldn’t find anything to do after the shows so ended up just going back to the cabin. The biggest issue for me was the lack of Hand washing. All my previous cruises were pre Covid times and we were always told to wash our hands and at the restaurants you had to have hand wash. It was virtually non existent on here, occasionally at the restaurant there was someone there but it was very optional and no one seemed to bother. Probably why we caught Covid as we were leaving! The stops were nothing special, and I’d never book a tour with celebrity again, us and others found the tours were nothing like as advertised often missing stops, were very expensive too. Very poor. I was pleased I was only on there for 7 days and looked forward to getting off- totally put me off cruising now..

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Liked it here, lots of shops, nice beach, dolphin and turtle sanctuary. Was our favourite stop.

Ocho Rios

Worst stop. Just nothing to do. Had to pay to go on the beach, pay for a broken chair, awful toilets. Couldn’t wait to get back on ship.
