One week cruise from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janiero. The worst thing that happened on this cruise is as soon as we entered Brazilian waters, NCL added a 25% tax on every beverage in our so-called free beverage package. When we booked this cruise, we were not told that this would happen. That is quite an expense since 5 of our 7 days on this ship were in Brazil. NCL should of had the courtesy to inform their passengers before we purchased this cruise that a wopping 25% tax on every drink in you beverage package would be added to your tab. But they did not. All the passengers were angry about this. We would not have booked this cruise if we were given the information up front that this would happen. NCL should either absorb this cost or take Brazil off your itineary. We took four ship excursions and two were great and two were just awful. The highlights of Santos, Brazil excursion was a joke. The last so-called highlight was to a museum that was not even open. The highlights of Buzios, Brazil excursion was even worse. We were stuffed into a bus with no air-conditioning and the PA system did not work and we could not hear what the tour guide was saying. NCL refused to give us our money back on these two awful excurisions. The food in the dining room and buffet was awful. The service in the dining room was slow and unorganized. The internet did not work half the time and the TV channels never worked. I have taken several NCL cruises in the past and they were all good. I really have no words to explain how bad this cruise was compared to the other NCL cruises I have been on in the past. NCL, you really dropped the ball on this cruise.
Not too good. Three of our seven days, we did not even get a daily newsletter.
