This was our first time on MSC. Reading the reviews up to the cruise- I have to say- we were nervous. We went on the ship with no expectations and were delighted. We are a small family of three and enjoy cruising. We are gold with Regent. Found a great price with MSC Yacht Club over Spring Break and decided to give it a go. Even prior to boarding, we were impressed with MSC. They status matched the family to Diamond. We received all the sailing info and printable luggage tags after our online check-in.

Arrived to Miami port at 11am. I have to say- this was the easiest embarkation we have ever encountered. Showed up at Yacht Club tent, went to lounge and within 15 minutes we were in the Topsail lounge. Overall- we were very impressed. We didn't know what to expect with a 'mega-ship' but the Yacht Club was very serene and calm, restaurant was fabulous and we really enjoyed the lounge. Loved going out to the main ship for the parties and shows. It was very nice having the action of a large ship then having the calm of YC.

There were some quirks we found odd with a brand new ship but we didn't let it ruin out trip. Getting off/on ship in ports. Getting off was easy- the butler takes you down and you go right to the front . Yes- it is a bit cringe when you hear people in long lines yelling 'why are they cutting' but MSC handles it. Getting on the ship- there were lines. We were surprised with a new ship- this wasn't designed a bit better. Just a small entry/exit. Same in the public restrooms. Surprised there were a lot of 'onesie' toilets always with lines. We found it easier just to walk back to our cabin. Read more
