Embarkation: we lined up for over an hour to get into the terminal. It seems that everyone arrived for a 12:30pm boarding time despite the time they were actually given. Once we got into the terminal the process was relatively straight forward. I'm not too sure why I bothered getting my second covid vaccine or doing the rat test though as these were never checked.
Room: we had a three birth balcony room. I'm not sure if it's the same on any cruise but the room was tiny. You couldn't have the three of you walking around in it. Beds are also very small even for singles. The bathroom is tiny, if you are a larger person I'm not sure how you would navigate it. The balcony was the highlight for me, it was small but allowed some space and fresh air.
Entertainment: I travelled with my six year old and she didn't want to attend the kids club as she didn't want to be apart from me. She did enjoy the pool but we should have bought floaties as she only just managed in the smaller pool. She was slightly too short for the waterslides and the splash pad area is very basic and hidden away. She did enjoy the hot tubs. Finding things for us to do during the day was very difficult so thank god for the pool. There were times when child just wanted to be on her iPad in the room which shows she was bored. There wasnt alot of options for music during the day or any family friendly activities. Most day activities were related to health and beauty or bingo or trivia. I guess they expected kids to be in the kids club. The night time shows were good, Johnny Balance was fantastic and my daughter is now his biggest fan. My daughter also really enjoyed the rock of ages show. My daughter kept asking for more shows but these were the only ones suitable for her to attend.
