This is our 2nd time on the Escape. There were 4 of us this time. We stayed in spa balcony rooms and also had vibe passes. We ate at Cagney's, Le Bistro and Food republic twice. We used our excursion credit to reserve a clam shell on GSC. Our stops included DR, St. Thomas, Tortola and GSC. If you can book a room with access to the spa do it. The place is great. It didn't ever feel crowded, the place is pretty big. The ship was packed so having the vibe was really great. We had a place to relax in the sun with our own bar tender and hot tub. You meet a lot of nice people up there as well. Well worth the $420. We showed up at about 11 and were on the ship having lunch at Savor with first drink in hand by 12. For dinner we went to the main dining room and never waited. Food was always good and the service as well. Breakfast and lunch was usually in Taste or Savor, expect for port days when they closed earlier. We enjoyed the Mojito bar, the bars at the specialty dining as well. Looks like NCL cut back on bar tenders as some of the bars only had 1. Tobacco road bar was a mess. The best meal was Le Bistro, the tenderloin, sole, duck breast, all outstanding. The food at food republic came in a close second. The crew were all very helpful and seemed happy that we were there.

Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

Spa balcony 15XXX - Access to the spa was well worth it. Room steward seemed like he was over worked but always keep the room cleaned. Plenty of plugs, with one for your phone on each side of the bed.

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

Nice island, plenty of options for food with little to no wait. The bars got crowded at lunch time but other times it was walk right up. We had a clam shell so we could stay out of the sun, if needed. Beach was very clean and enjoyable. Tender process was very easy.

Tortola

What's the point? You arrive at 6:00am and leave by noon. Who wants to get up at 6:00 on vacation? Not me. All we did here was walk around the town. We did find a botanical garden that was an easy walk from the ship, it was pretty nice.

St. Thomas

We did our own trip. Took a cab to Red hook and took the ferry to St John's and Trunk Bay beach. Bring cash for the cab's but the ferry and beach entrance take CC. The beach was beautiful and getting back and forth was very easy. I just wish we got into St Thomas earlier
