I chose this cruise 6 weeks before we left. I did not read reviews - my mistake. The reviews are very accurate. Shop is old and out dated. Entertainment was good, however the 2 pools were too small and the kids took over the hot tubs as well as the over 21 area. No enforcement of any of the rules, saving launches chairs all day, code of conduct violations, drunken behavior isn the hallways by the cabins at 2:30AM…..marijuana use. Food was disappointing. Positives…Alchemy Bar was excellent with perfectly crafted cocktails….the casino bar was also a good choice. The other bars were disappointing, sugar filled drinks that were not worth drinking. Service around the pool was horrendous, took 45 minutes to get a drink with all the ice melted. The buffet was mediocre at best. We avoided it.

The dining places (Ours was Sunrise was hit or miss). We also smelled sewer like many reviews already noted. The cabin was clean and the staff who cleaned the rooms were very friendly. A few staff were rude but that was not the majority of them. Places we stopped at- Nassau- poverty, locals trying to sell you things constantly, garbage on beaches and in the water. Least favorite. Half Moon Cay was beautiful, swimming in gorgeous, clean water. Loved it. Grand Turk was disappointing. Not what we expected. The biggest issue is the types of people who are attracted to this type of cruise. Loud, drunk, inappropriately dressed for any occasion- and the music played (with kids everywhere) was vulgar hip hop. I would avoid the Carnival Sunrise. It was our first cruise- we didn’t need to have something to compare it to because it just wasn’t very good. Our mantra for the cruise was “it’s fine”.
