We booked this cruise about 2 weeks prior to sailing. Cost was the biggest factor in our decision making and MSC had an itinerary that interested us and the price was within our budget of what we wanted to spend. Our family enjoyed our time on the ship and we booked our next cruise with MSC as well.
During Embarkation, it did feel like we were standing and waiting for a long time. It did seem like there could be room for improving the flow of passengers through the terminal at Port Canaveral. When we were all said and done though, we arrived at the terminal at around 12:15 and we were on the ship before 1:30. Our stateroom wasn't going to be ready until 2. Our luggage arrived to the room a bag at a time; I believe the last suitcase was brought to the room by dinner. Every bag arrived to the room with all of our belongings in them undamaged.
The ship itself is very beautiful and easy to navigate. The LED dome was relaxing to watch and the kids enjoyed the dome shows.
The cabin was nice and the balcony was appreciated. We were able to have the room steward clear the mini bar so that we could use the refrigerator for waters. The bed was high enough to store the suitcases underneath. Our family does not unpack when we cruise and getting the suitcases out daily was not a problem for us. The room steward was very quick and efficient with cleaning the cabin each day, sometimes even making the bed twice a day.
I would have appreciated if the couch that converts to bunkbeds could have been taken down into a couch during the day; but I do see how this could be very time consuming for the steward. I think that had I asked for this, it would have been done.
Very welcoming tour guide for the excursion we took; next time we will pay better attention to the details of the excursion and choose one that either allows time for self guided exploring or provides lunch.
Nassau is enjoyable just walking around if the weather is decent. On this trip it had been raining and the streets were a bit flooded in some parts.
Absolutely beautiful, our family would do an itinerary even if this was the only port stop.
Cozumel is an overall good time; it's a fun party atmosphere and lots of shopping. Don't buy from the first shop you go in and you can always bargain/negotiate on price.
