This was my second cruise with Uniworld. Staff is always good but corporate dropped the ball. I was told by staff that the lock on the Rhône between Avignon and Tain L’Hermitage had been broken since March 8. Our Cruise left on 3/19 and we were not told about it. You can also read about it on the French website CNR. There is no timeline to fix it. So we had to ride on a bus one day almost 4 hrs for a visit at Tain L’Hermitage that was only 4 hrs. We took a bus to Lyon and never made it to Burgundy. Several tours were cancelled or shortened as well because of the time the bus took to get to places. In Lyon we were put in a terrible hotel and had to eat dinner at the hotel with brown lettuce and the bread was put directly on the table. I wrote an email to corporate to the attention of Marcelle Heimell and no response 72 hrs later. I can’t believe they sold an itinerary they had no plans to complete it.
