My wife and I have cruised with several of the other lines. Far and away the best value has been Princess. Which is why this was our third sailing. Outstanding food with impeccable service. Excellent entertainment (especially the magic show.)
Dine my way is the way to dine. Twice daily room clean up. A beautiful ship with friendly staff. The medallion opened our door without having to fumble with a key card. The app also has good features like finding the location of shipmates but did glitch a couple of times. (I don't mind being the beta tester if they can work out the little bugs eventually.) Plenty of activities during the day and evening.
But the cherry on top of our sundae was being secretly invited to the 360 Dining Experience by our Maitre'd. We were only told to be in the Piazza at a certain time and not much else. (I thought it was going to be some sort of "escape room thing" so we almost declined.) We met in the Piazza at the appointed time and were photographed and given a cocktail. From there our group of 20 were led into a large circular room with a table that circled the room. Our hostess, Magdelana, explained that we would be getting a 7-course meal. Each course was accompanied by videos projected completely around us. Starting in the Olive groves of Greece. A family explained the process of making Olive oil. Plates were projected onto the table next to our plates which we could shatter by slapping the projected plate. It went on like this through Italy, Spain and France with projections of locations and the produce of the regions. At one point our tables were abuzz with hundreds of moving bees. WOW. 90 minutes of the most unique and unusual foods and wines. Thank you, Princess, for making us feel like a king and a queen for the evening.
We thought the club class mini suite was exceptional for value and beauty.
