My travel agent recommended the Treasure of Costa Rica & Panama cruise when I mentioned wanting to travel to Costa Rica. I was unsure about taking a cruise as I had been on two large ship cruises before, and they seemed crowded on board and with booked excursions. She had been on a Variety Cruise before and assured me it was different, so I decided to give it a try. I ended up having an unforgettable trip filled with sun, new friends, authentic experiences, beautiful places, and learned some things too.

From the moment I stepped on the ship I felt welcomed, comfortable, and at home. All of the staff delivered service with a smile and enthusiasm and constantly checked in to see if I had what I needed. Even though it was the crew's last voyage of the season the delivered excellence at every turn as though it was their first. Food and beverage service was prompt. My cabin was always immaculately cleaned. I felt like I had a private ship and crew even though there were 20+ other people on board.

Elliot, the cruise director/naturalist, made sure all activities/excursions ran efficiently, easily approachable, patient, kind, and answered many questions with a smile. His lectures on the various ports/areas were very informative and delivered with ease and humor. He also added much insight and knowledge on the excursions he led as well as accompanied us on.

Response from EffieT, Marketing Coordinator

Dear guest, thank you so much for your kind words! We are very pleased to have exceeded your expectations. Sea you soon....

Cabin Review

I stayed in Cabin 5 which had easy access to the main lounge/eating area. It was quiet, had a nice window, and well laid out for its size. The twin bed was comfortable and the small bathroom was adequate for my needs. The room had a flat screen TV although I never used it. The room was comfortable, but I mainly spent my time sleeping there.
