We have travelled on repositioning cruises before 32 in total many on MSC but this is our first one on MSC Seascape. The ship itself is beautiful good State Rooms , crew looking after State Rooms efficient and helpful. However the food is well below the standard we would normally expect. My husband said so much of the food served reminded him of the food available in the British Army when he did his National Service 60 years ago.

If you like fried potatoes, bean stew or rice then you would have no complaints they were served every day in abundance. If you wanted something like mashed potatoes then you had to be quick as it was served in limited amounts, as for bananas they disappeared after day 2. Any fruit you could get was frozen when it was served.

The Junior Officers could often be found mingling with other Junior Officers in the Restaurant usually 3 or 4 them together blocking passengers from reaching a food station. This inconsiderate attitude towards the Passengers was also evident when getting on and off the ship at ports. I am 84 use a walking stick and was jostled ,nearly fell over, when a group of crew members rushed past me to get on the bus back to the ship before I did. These events made me question whether the Crew and Junior Officers were aware that it was passengers like me who were paying their wages.I have never experienced this before it's just down to bad training.
