We chose the Apex for the date (my birthday) and because we wanted to try Celebrity again. This was a new ship and we were reading reviews and decided to try the Sunset Veranda and it didn't disappoint. The room was large with more than enough storage and the veranda had two sitting chairs with a small table and two lounge chairs. It was GREAT! The only bad thing is we could hear the beat of the music until mid-night every night because we were two floors above the Eden Lounge. Took us about 3 nights to get used to it. The ship had one pretty rocky night and it worried me that we were in the very back of the boat but it wasn't a problem at all. Lots of people but never felt too crowded. The food was a bit disappointing because we remembered it to be the best food at sea but it was still very good. When visiting Cozumel we ran up for lunch at the Oceanview Cafe there was a whole section with Mexican food. It was delicious! The Italian food at the buffet was not good at all but was delicious every night we went for dinner at the Tuscan Grille. The only thing is we thought the menu changed there (at least the Italian portion) but it was the same. If someone in your party would prefer to be at one of the other Main Dining Rooms you can ask for that menu in whatever restaurant you are in. I had the escargot every night at every restaurant, it was delicious. Overall the dining is not that much better than food on NCL. The staff everywhere was wonderful and very helpful.

Key West: no excursion. We walked around the island and went to the Hemingway House. Very interesting and loved seeing the cats, especially the 6 toed felines.

Belize: Riverboat Cruise and Mayan Ruins. The "riverboat" was a highspeed boat with at least 50 people on it. It was not what I expected but it turned out to be good. It took us to the ruins. It was a bit rocky to walk to the ruins but so worth the effort. After our guided tour we had a buffet lunch and cool drink (came with the tour) and it was very good.

Cabin Review

Plenty of storage and the veranda was large and wonderful.
