I have been wanting to try out Oceania after reading terrible reviews 5-6 years ago, but still hearing good things. Alas, it did not live up to its claims of being a luxury experience. It felt like we were being nickle and dimed and the cruise line cut corners on everything - entertainment, service, ports & dockings.
Supposedly completely refurbished in December, wallpaper was peeling on our hallway, stateroom carpet was obviously very old, many appointments normal in newer ship cabins were not added to staterooms.
It was the worst entertainment we've ever had in over 30 cruises. Piano bar player couldn't sing, 'production company' was green and only did one real show, one comedian, and one good showwoman.
