we chose Marella as we liked the itinerary of the Caribbean islands offered on this cruise. we arrived 4 hours late due to a flight delay. when we arrived at our cabin we were disappointed to find our refurbished cabin had discoloured rusty ceiling panels above our bed. when we reported this they were disinterested. on the second night at midnight we were woken by very loud noises banging and water rushing. this went on for more than ten minutes. when we reported this to reception the next day they were disbelieving and said we should have reported it straight away. Two nights later the same thing happens again, we call reception and ask them to listen to the noise while its going on, the Receptionist couldn't hear anything and sends 2 Security staff, who say they will report it to the engineering department. Next night we are awoke again, we report it and the receptionist says she will send a plumber. half an hour later she calls back waking us up to say no one available at that time as its past midnight.

ON the eighth night we were offered another cabin which we accepted and towards the end of our cruise we were offered compensation.

The Housekeeping staff were excellent and all Bar and Restaurant staff worked very hard to look after the guests. Read more
