This was our first cruise on over 30 years. We were traveling half way around the world to visit with a family member in Sydney and decided to include New Zealand in our travels. The pre-extension around the north island was fabulous. We met some great people on the cruise, and there was a lot of good food. The entertainment was outstanding, as well as the talks on history of the areas we were visiting. The disappointing part was missing Napier due to the cyclone, not going into Christchurch due to a problem in the harbor and lastly missing Tasmania. We realize that all of this was out of the hands of Viking but 4 days at sea was a lot of time. All that we will consider a viking cruise in the future, especially a river cruise. All the staff on the ship were outstanding, friendly and helpful. All the challenges were fully explained.

Cabin Review

I do not remember the type of cabin we had, it was on deck 3. The cabin was excellent and the staff taking care of the cabin was incredible.
