First time on Viking and it was a 14 day cruise with a partial Panama Canal transit. This is the oldest ship in their fleet but so well maintained it really looks like new! Loved the decor/style of the ship (very Scandinavian) and the crew was absolutely the best! The crew/staff got to know our names and preferences quickly and everyone was always smiling and friendly. I've seen complaints about some other ships/cruise lines regarding staffing shortages but Viking seemed fully staffed as the service was excellent. (A special "Thank you" to Adrian, the bartender in the Explorer's Lounge)!
Great entertainment both in the theater and other venues where musicians performed. And of course the food was excellent in both the restaurants and the World Cafe (their buffet). The ship holds 930 guests and our ship was almost 900 but the ship still did not feel crowded. The embarkation/disembarkation went very smoothly and quickly. The best boarding of any ship we have been on so far (except for maybe SeaDream but they only carry 110 guests).
Everthing in the cabin was very well maintained. We had two cabin stews (Christopher and Verna) who serviced our room twice per day. And if there was anything we needed they got it to us very quickly. We found it very comfortable for a 14 day Caribbean cruise and felt there was adequate storage for everything we brought. (If you plan to bring quite a wardrobe you might want to upgrade to a larger room which would have additional storage).
