We would not normally book Viking due to cost. We did book this cruise due to timing and a very deep sale in effect. However, after this experience, we are convinced that Viking is virtually an all inclusive experience...rather than nickel and diming you at every junction. Although our jr suite included unlimited laundry, every deck had a free launderette with 5 washers and 5 dryers for guest use. The excursions included land tours, zodiac, spec ops boat, & submarine experiences at no additional costs. The alternative dining venues were available...again without additional charge. The mini fridge included snacks, soft drinks, & alcohol that was refilled daily without additional cost. Consequently, if you book with Viking, you will get your money's worth. Viking has River long boats, Ocean ships, and Expedition Ships. Our experience was on an Expedition ship. Consequently, number of guests is normally around 350 with a crew around 250. Also, there were no guests under 18 yrs old. A final note, there were no art or photography sales on the ship. Rather the ship photographer posted his daily pictures on the ships app for free downloading...did I mention WIFI is free and dependable.
