First, a bit about us. I am 29, my husband 32, and we were cruising for our honeymoon. Neither of us had been on a cruise since we were young, so, we didn't have high expectations for anything except having fun together for the week.
We arrived at the Port of Tampa at about 11:30 A.M. on embarkation day. We opted for valet parking as it was only $10 more for the whole week. Beats having to wander around the parking garage at the end of the cruise since we both ultimately would have forgotten where we had parked. Between parking, checking in our luggage, checking in for the cruise, and waiting in the embarkation area, we were on board by 12:30. Not bad!
Once on the ship, we headed up to the Lido deck for lunch. The food was excellent. I had some Asian items, and I don't remember what my husband had. I liked how they had the hand sanitizers out as I was worried about getting sick........more about that later!
Carnival Legend cabin 7277. Extended balcony cabin. The balcony was a nice escape when you didn't want to be around all the other people. The room was more than adequate for 2 people. It had everything we needed. It was in a quiet location. Not a huge long walk from the elevators, but far enough away that we didn't get the noise.
